Vivasvat Chauhan

Vivasvat’s love for the outdoors started early. The boarding school encouraged excursions and treks into the Himalayas, which fascinated him. After completing higher education he joined a National Outdoor Leadership program (NOLS, USA) on a month-long backpacking course in the Himalayas and then went on to get a diploma in outdoor education from NOLS, USA. Soon after returning to India he got a chance to work with a large outdoor adventure company in Delhi. Later his childhood interest in wildlife grew and this lead him towards the wildlife tourism industry. Here his job entailed designing itineraries and guiding nature-lovers in the forests of Central India and Corbett. Anthill Adventures gives him a chance to explore the mountains and other wild areas of India as a profession. What more can one want – a passion becomes a career! Vivasvat, leads guiding operations and customer engagement. He also runs two homestays in Kashmir and Himachal.

Aman Sood

Aman grew up in Chandigarh, a city in the foothills of the Himalayas. A passion for the mountains developed at an early age while exploring the hills around. So even while he worked in the corporate sector for over 8 years, he kept returning to the mountains every chance he got. Aman has trekked extensively in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and has undertaken several solo bicycle expeditions in the Indian himalaya.  His exposure to unattended piles of waste in otherwise pristine locations sparked the need to build a company with ethical hiking as an integral part of its ethos. At AntHill Adventures, in addition to leading trekking, mountaineering and skiing operations, Aman takes care of marketing. Aman is a certified mountaineer from the Atal Bihari Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports and an intermediate skier from the Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering, Gulmarg. He is qualified as a Paragliding Pilot as well from the Paragliding Gurukul school. He is also trained as a Wilderness First Responder under instruction from the Aerie Backcountry, Montana, USA.
