The Parang la is a high-altitude pass (5600m) over an old trade route that existed between the regions of Spiti and Ladakh in the Indian trans-himalayas. Wild, arid and desolate, crossing the Parang La is usually possible only for a brief period between mid July to mid September, the region being inaccessible at other times.  Stunningly beautiful formations of rock, glaciers, deep gorges and wildlife is a precursor to the majestic Tso-Morori, a large emerald blue lake at 4250 meters above sea level.
