An established classic, the Har Ki Dun valley trek is steeped in rich Indian traditions and mythology in addition to some picturesque views of the big mountains. Trekkers return from Har Ki Dun in awe of this beautiful wide valley with up close views of Swargarohini, Banderpoonch and Kala nag mountains of the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The heritage architecture of the ancient temples of Seema and Osla (strangely the locals here pray to the Kauravas) will leave you spellbound. A relatively easy trek owing to its more relaxed gradient, the Har Ki Dun trek will nevertheless challenge the overall fitness and endurance of the trekker. That said, the impressive views enroute will certainly keep your mind off the fatigue.

Day 1: Pick up from Dehradun and drive to Sankri (200 km, 7/8 Hrs). Overnight in guest house.

Day 2: Drive to Taluka (11 km) and trek to Cheludgad /Seema (13 km, 2700 mt) (4/5 Hrs).

Day 3: Trek to Seematara camp (07 Km, 4/5 hours, 3400m)

Day 4:- Trek to Har-ki-dun (07 km, 3/4 hours, 3645m)

Day 5: Trek to Chelugad via Osla village (14km, 5/6 hours)

Day 6: Trek to Taluka drive to Sankri. Overnight in Guest House.

Day 7: After breakfast Drive from Sankri to Dehradun by taxi Travel (210 km) (7/8 hrs) take the overnight train to Delhi

Optional Day: Explore Har Ki Dun: Manida lake and Jaundhar Glacier.
Our Har Ki Dun campsite makes for a good base to explore Maninda lake and Jaundhar glacier which lies in the camp’s vicinity.

Dehradun city is approximately 270km from Delhi and is the capital of Uttarakhand, a mountain state of north India. It can be reached from Delhi/ Other major metropolitan cities in the following ways:

By Air:

Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun is at a distance of 30 km from Dehradun. Several daily flights from Delhi and some from other major cities in India connect the city.

By Rail:

The nearest railway station to Dehradun is Haridwar and the second closest is Dehradun. There is a choice of overnight air-conditioned sleeper trains (Nanda Devi Express) or day-time chair-car trains (Shatabdi) from Delhi.

By Road:

The distance from Delhi to Dehradun is approximately 270 km which takes 6 hours.

By Bus:

State transport buses ply between Dehradun and Delhi frequently. Typically buses leave the Delhi/ Dehradun’s Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) at night and arrive Dehradun/ Delhi early in the morning (between 5-7am).
