Day 1 : Arrive at Kuflon
Drive to Kuflon, Uttarkashi. Kuflon is an isolated village in the forest and Kuflon Basics provides all the necessary comforts which are much required before the start of your trek and at the end as well. Overnight in the homestay.
Day 2: Trek to Gui (4 hours, 2800 meters)
After an hour’s drive we arrive at Raithal village from where we start the trek which takes us through mixed-forests of pine, chestnut, and rhododendron. Soon views of the snow-capped Gangotri ranges start to open up. On reaching Gui, our campsite, sit back and take in the sight of the snow-capped mountains bathed in the evening light. Overnight in tents.
Day 3: Trek to Dayara (3 hours, 3650 meters)
The next day trek to Dayara meadows, a seemingly endless expanse of high-altitude grazing ground that is covered in a carpet of snow in winters and turns completely green in summers. This sea of green makes for a picturesque foreground to the panoramic views of the Gangotri, Banderpooch and Swargarohini ranges visible from here. Overnight in tents at Chilapada campsite below the meadow.
Day 4: Trek to Barsu campsite (4 hours, 2900m)
On today’s walk we will first traverse to Barnala Bugyal and then later descend through the forest to a campsite above Barsu village. Overnight in tents.
Day 5: Short Trek to Barsu village. Drive to Kuflon.
After a short walk of 2 hours we arrive at the roadhead where vehicles are waiting to transfer back to Kuflon Basics, Uttarkashi. Today, we plan to unwind at Kuflon before starting the next morning back to Dehradun/ Delhi.
Day 6: Drive to Dehradun.

Reach Dehradun from Delhi
By Train: We suggest the Dehradun Shatabdi if you prefer to travel during the day. For overnight travel, the Nanda Devi express is most suitable. Travel time for both trains is approximately (6 hrs).
By Air: The flight time to Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun is 40 min to an hour.
By Road: Overnight Volvo buses (Super Luxury) operated by Uttrarakhand Transport Corporation can be booked here. Travel time is approximately 6-7 hours
Dehradun to Uttarkashi
The distance between Dehradun to Uttrakashi is 144 km and the drive may take 4-5 hours. AntHill Adventures can organize your transportation from Dehradun to Uttarkashi via non AC taxi.
