Day 1: Fly to Leh
Day 2: Acclimatize, visit Hemis and Thiksey monasteries
Day 3: Medical examination and final pack up
Day 4: Leh to Tsomo padar drive (3 hours)
Day 5: Trek to Tib baoo 5 hrs (5 hrs)
Day 6: Trek to Nyerak ( 5-6 hours)
Day 7: Trek to Tib Baoo
Day 8: Trek to Tsomopadar and drive back to Leh

Chadar - The Frozen River Trek
Zanskar, Ladakh
Day 1: Fly to Leh
Take the early morning flight to Leh from Delhi. Here you will meet the AntHill Adventures team and wlll be escorted to your hotel. Today will be devoted to proper acclimatization; your trek leader will provide you guidelines in this regard. We will regularly check your oxygen saturation levels to determine acclimatization.
Day 2: Visit Hemis and Thiksey Monasteries and Acclimatization Walk
After breakfast we will visit the prominent monasteries of Thiksey and Hemis. The drive will give you an interesting perspective of winter life in Ladakh.
Day 3: Medical Examination and Final Pack Up
The day is reserved for mandatory medical examination in Leh. Final gear check and pack up will take place today. We may also go on an acclimatization walk.
Day 4: Drive to Tilat Sumdo. Trek to Shingra (3 hrs)
The drive to Tilat Sumdo goes first through Nimmu, the confluence of Zanskar and Indus and then follows the Indus upstream on an under construction road. Shingra is a large campsite right below an impressive cliff.
Day 5: Trek to Dip Yokma (5-7 hrs)
The frozen waterfalls on the trek today and the impressive landscape more than make up for the rigours of the long walk. (7 hours).
Day 6: Trek to Nyerak Pullu (5-6 Hours)
Nyerak is a beautiful village located 600 meters above the camping site onthe frozen Zanskar. It is famous for its frozen waterfall and is also the coldest point of the trek.
Day 7, 8, 9: Trek to Tilat Sumdo via Shingra sand Drive to Leh
Although theoretically you would be retracing your steps to Shingra, it is soon obvious that a lot can change over the course of a day on Chadar. Old ice formations vanish and new sections on the Chadar form. No two experiences of the Chadar trek are exactly alike!
Day 10: Fly to Delhi

Important Points
- There may be a minimum of 3 days of mandatory acclimatisation in Leh. However, we are still awaiting the notification in writing.
- The authorities may conduct a medical examination on the third day and may decide to disallow the trekker from starting the trek on medical grounds.
- Green fees, Medical Fee and permit fees to be confirmed once the revised notification is out. This is expected to not exceed Rs 5000 per person.
Leh is accessible only by air in winter. Many domestic flight operators connect Leh to major Indian cities. Most flights arrive and depart from Leh before noon.
